Vibrant color is your first impression of the Parrucca Collection; the colors of sunny Sicily and the primitive style, intrinsic to this collection, reveal vivid glimpses of the Byzantine tradition as seen in the presentation of daily life. The Parrucca workshop is largely made up of family members who are dedicated to presenting practical and decorative items that depict Sicilian lifestyles. The colors, designs and utility of these pieces make them extremely desirable and very collectible. It is important to note that the larger pieces are not standardized – all of the larger pieces have a certain, defined subject, but the artists are allowed to depict each subject as they wish.
